Robotics Engineer, Controls Systems

As a Robotics Engineer, Controls Systems, you will be part of our engineering team in the early phases of product development on the design and manufacturing of advanced materials and technology.   • Responsible for the robot arm controlling integration with the various application; product assembly line, additive manufacturing, or 3D printer
  • Participate in all phases of robotics embedded software design and implementation
  • Design and implement low-level modules to complement existing software development efforts
  • Develop code, test, and troubleshoot low-level software to be run on robots and other systems
  • Work with engineers across the department to develop new products, from prototype to production and real-world uses
  • Create and deliver presentations to leadership and peers for design, test, and manufacturing readiness review

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant fields
  • Experience implementing hardware interfacing software in Python or C++
  • Practical experience designing, developing, calibrating, or working with robot arms
  • Theoretical and practical experience in control theory, sensor fusion, ROS, SLAM, motion planning, and collision avoidance
  • Hardware and software debugging skills through the use of instrumentation such as oscilloscopes
  • Be able to work at Laksi district (Vibhavadi Rangsit Soi 62)

Preferred skills:

  • Knowledge in Kuka Robot Language is a plus.
  • Knowledge of different communication protocols, interfaces and hardware subsystems
  • Experience working with other communication protocols such as UART, I2C, SPI, USB and CAN
  • Experience writing hardware interfacing software in Python or C++ involving Ethernet and TCP/IP protocols
  • Direct experience with industrial hardware products including Kuka
  • Hands-on experience with microcontroller and RTOS systems
  • Experience with using weld processes for additive manufacturing.
  • Experience developing software for industrial robots including Kuka, Fanuc, ABB, and Kawasaki
